![]() ![]() You still have one deployed license, which isn't device specific (so you could have 1000 devices for 10 users and pay the same as 10 devices for those 10 users) - but you will be billed per the amount of users that would be benefiting from this. Yep I know but the way that you pay for that Volume License is the differing factor. You DO NOT need a 1-to-1 VL for each OEM PC. They want you to use that license and media. No, you just need one license even if you use it to image 1000 OEM devices (with the VL). It is one license but that amount varies massively if you have 10 employees or 1000. The amount you pay for that is worked out by the size of your organisation. No because you only need to buy one license in which to do imaging.īut that one license is a volume license. Sadly you only seem to see this when you buy parts individually. Wish you could buy bulk amounts of computers without Windows installed on them and save money there. This is the way M$ in their infinite wisdom determined it. ![]() If we buy in more computers, they will come with a copy of Windows, but that will be removed and have the volume activated image put on instead. I guess their intent is that OEM is used solely by users buying separate computers, while they use VLA for businesses that would want to centrally manage installations. ![]()
